The Boom Bap has been a great event with a great list of people and promoters uniting for positive vibes and hip-hop at Brickell's own Blackbird Ordinary. Soarse Spoken has always kept us in the loop of the event that he hosts alongside the 2 Dope Bitches (Norma & Aja).
OWSLA‘s Good Times showcase housed a number of awesome B2B sets, including Skrillex B2B Emoh Instead (with Chance The Rapper) and Zeds Dead B2B Kill The Noise. The one we were trying to see was A-Trak and Craze going ham. See, we were fans of the turntablism movement in the ’90s, and seeing these two grow from that era to today has been amazing. They’re two of the most technically-gifted DJs on the planet, and have been working together for years. The “Allies” Craze wore on his hat isn’t just a cool word, but that was a part of the DJ crew they were both a part of years back. In any case, these two locked horns for an explosive set that ended with, what else, a spirited round of skratching cuts. Check out two of the best to do it, via DAD and Complex TV.
