Straight up, I had to give this mixtape the “Mixtape Of The Month” title. No lie, Anjuli Stars is one of the most talented people I’ve heard from Miami in a long time. Her voice is amazing and overall she’s an awesome musician. Plus, she does quite a bit of rhyming as well.

The following mixtape is called Starvation Volume 1. It has hints of reggae, with a basis in hip-hop and R&B. It shows Anjuli’s diversity and her definite claim to soon becoming one of the305’s finest. Short and sweet at 10 tracks, the mixtape is worth the download and worth at least a couple listens to see why I’m co-signing her and why she’s worthy of the “Mixtape Of The Month” title.

The last few days been a little slow here on The305. Had to take a small break, plus it didn’t help that the news cycles were kinda slow on the Miami side of things over the last week or so.

Now, unless you’ve been under a rock, then you heard that Kanye West was going to release a brand new GOOD MUSIC related track from now until December under an online promo campaign of sorts called “G.O.O.D. Fridays”. Well, first song up is the long awaited “Monster”, which features the 305′s own Ricky Ross who starts off the track and has the shortest contribution to the track compared to ‘Ye, Jay and Nicki (who isn’t married to Drake by the way, it was all a twitter-pub-stunt). Even though Nicki does her usual half normal and half-possessed rhyme flow on her verse, she definitely rips it.

So yeah, listen to “Monster” below…
