Coming soon to Jordan retailers near you. We’ll post release info as soon as we get it.
I’ve met Matt Halfhill and honestly, he’s a cool dude. Glad to see him accomplish so much at such a young age. Definitely inspirational to people who are out there trying to live out their dreams. Homie took it from having a sneaker blog, to then now having a store front of the same name. If you are heading out to SXSW this year, make sure to stop on by.
But yeah, press play, to hear the story of NiceKicks.com and the newly opening Nice Kicks retail sneaker shop.

Dwayne Wade rocking the 2010 Air Jordans on Tuesday night. Oh yeah, and the Heat play the Lakers tonight right here at the American Airlines Arena.

The Coppers released last month and the Eggplants release this Saturday. But NiceKicks is saying the “Royal Blue” Nike Air Foamposites will release this fall. If so,prepare yet another frezny. They originally released back in 1997, and are considered top-five status for lots of sneakerheads old and new. As of now, it’s a rumor, but…rumors come from somewhere. Stay posted.

These release Saturday February 27, 2010 at Jordan Brand retailers everywhere, including Shoe Gallery here in Miami. I already got my pair – a month or so ago. They definitely look good even though its not an OG colorway. And for the price, you can’t beat it. Get em tomorrow.

A new colorway of the Nike Air 180 will drop later this summer. This one has a very obvious an apparent Miami Dolphins feel. Mostly with a white upper and Nubuck along the midfoot and toe – this release will surely see some movement here in Miami, just in time for the new season. Retail price has not been announced yet. Online, the Air Jordan 2010’s are now available for $155 at PickYourShoes.com with Free Shipping. While a lot of people are turned off by the “window” that the 2010’s posses – don’t give up on them just yet. I actually held these and saw them in person and there’s something about them that makes me love them. Not sure what it is, but best believe they will be copped.
And if the online thing is not your steez, then you can definitely pick these up locally and in person over at Shoe Gallery in Downtown Miami come this Saturday.

Here’s an article I found on The Miami Hurricane, which is University Of Miami’s school newspaper. Here they list their favorite local sneaker boutiques/shops. The list is nothing monumental as most of are already familiar with most these spots. But cool nonetheless for students on campus that come from all over the U.S. Read below…
Cool kicks in Miami
By Camron Ghorbi // Staff EDGE Writer
Most students at UM don’t think twice about choosing comfortable flip-flops over the constraints of sneakers in such a humid, tropical climate. For some Canes, however, the need to look fresh in a brand new pair of sneakers takes priority, even in the heat.
While the number of boutiques in Miami pales in comparison to cities like New York or Los Angeles, a few havens remain for “sneakerheads” across South Florida. Before making a trip to the local mall for a new pair of kicks, check out some of these boutiques first.
Shoe Gallery – 244 NE First Avenue, Brickell – Grade: 5/5 Stars
Recently ranked by Dime Magazine as one of the top-50 sneaker stores in the country, Shoe Gallery has a legendary reputation across the city of Miami. Celebrities have turned Shoe Gallery into a mandatory stop on trips to South Florida; the walls are lined with pictures of all the Hollywood stars and icons that visit the store. The selection of streetwear brands inside is expansive. Boasting the most limited sneakers in the city, Shoe Gallery commonly has campouts by collectors before the release of exclusive kicks.FootSoldiers – 100 SE First Avenue, Brickell – Grade: 4/5 Stars
Located only a few blocks away from Shoe Gallery, FootSoldiers is the only store in the immediate area that sells the highly desirable Nike Skateboarding line of sneakers. The store also boasts an impressive collection of streetwear, including limited brands like KidRobot, as well as footwear from up-and-coming brand Supra. FootSoldiers has a loyal following of young hipsters and sneaker collectors and, as a bonus, always has a good sale rack.Air Traffic Control – 1601 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach – Grade: 4/5 Stars
Air Traffic Control just might be one of the most awe-inspiring boutiques in the entire country. Boasting a collection of extremely rare sneakers, ATC is a consignment boutique for the most dedicated of sneaker aficionados. The store, set up with a conveyor belt that rotates some of the most exclusive pairs, regularly has sneakers on sale ranging from $500-$1000. While ATC is not a place to purchase a new pair of kicks on a whim, it is unquestionably worth a visit for anyone remotely interested in fashion.M.I.A. Skateshop – 229 Ninth Street, Miami Beach – Grade: 3.5/5 Stars
M.I.A. serves skaters across South Florida as Miami’s premier skateshop, selling everything from skateboard decks and wheels, to helmets and backpacks. Along with FootSoldiers, M.I.A. is one of the only places in Miami to snag the newest Nike Skateboarding releases. While the sneaker collection is not expansive, reasonable prices and the rare Nike offerings make this little skateshop a worthwhile boutique.Invazion – 2765 SW 27th Avenue, Coconut Grove – Grade: 3/5 Stars
Invazion is a small boutique located right near the Coconut Grove metro stop on US-1. The strong collection of streetwear brands like The Hundreds and Crooks & Castles make up for a somewhat disappointing sneaker collection. Although Invazion has some fantastically colorful sneakers, the boutique does not boast many limited releases. Even so, Invazion is still worth the short Metro ride to the Grove.

Nike Black History Month 2010 (Air Force One)
In my opinion, not as good as last year’s - but dope nonetheless. What’s different this time around is that these will actually be available at top Nike retailers nationwide on February 18th, 2010. Yeah boiii. More photos coming later. Here’s more info…
Nike Sportswear commemorates Black History Month with its newest rendition of the staple Air Force 1. Comprised of inspirational elements, the shoe touts an original design, which pays homage to the rise of Black enterprise, economic empowerment and the Harlem Renaissance individual behind this rise. The shoe’s main inspiration is clearly imprinted onto the upper: “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge.” Silhouettes of a man and woman on the sock liner and hang tag signify that the change celebrated by Black History Month was made possible only by the participation of both genders. The boldest detail of the AF1 is its colorway, black red and green – the colors of the African American flag. In the tradition of community and giving back, Nike will be making a donation to Cheyney University, the oldest Black institution in the country and a key inspiration in the creation of this shoe. The kicks drop on February 18th at a selection of the countries’ top Nike accounts:

Here’s a hi-top Air Force 1 that is being released tomorrow at Nike Retailers with tier-0 accounts. It has a boot-like appeal and is based on a maroon colored upper, white sole and boot-like laces. The Jordan XI Cool Greys have been confirmed for a November 2010 release.
I swear I almost pulled a “Ned Flanders” scream when I read confirmation.
3 pairs for Dro.
That is all.
ShoeGallery got together with Upset Gentlemen, also known as the guys from the TV show Miami Ink, and came up with an impressive design for the Adidas ZX 700 Boat. These new shoes are set to be released February 6 during Super Bowl weekend at ShoeGallery. Retail is $110.
The inspiration behind the look of these shoes was old school dressy color way with a nautical twist. The colors such as Oxblood Red, Gold eyelets, and a touch of Gray were a great start, but the finishing touch was the Bone, which tied it in together since it was a complimentary neutral. This is a promising start for upcoming projects from ShoeGallery and Upset Gentlemen.
