305 Magazine is back! New PRINT issue coming soon…please support! Advertising available
Written By DRO | Posted In 305 Magazine,Announcements

Its been a long time coming, but the new PRINT issue of 305 Magazine is coming soon. Its an actual PRINT magazine for those of you that don’t know and never saw it. I used to put these out with a partner of mine – we had Pitbull, Rick Ross and Khaled on the covers (pictured above), with features from dozens of big names as well.

Well, since putting out our last issue (with Khaled on the cover), we had a little hiatus, but…we’re definitely and officially back to put out a new issue. More details will be revealed shortly.

But in the meantime, if you are interested in advertising in the new issue, which will be one of the most sought after issues, please email me at miamihiphop@gmail.com for more information. Trust me, you’re going to want to be a part of it…

Stay tuned…

Pitbull Photograph At Miami’s Domino Park
Written By DRO | Posted In 305 Magazine,Dro's Photography

I took this photo while on a photoshoot for the first issue of 305 Magazine. We did the photoshoot at the old Domino Park on 8th Street. It was a real quick photoshoot because we were at that park during rush hour when all the viejitos [old people] were getting their lunchtime battles going on with the domino games. So we wanted to get-in and get-out. Domino Park is considered Miami-Dade County park, so we actually needed permits to shoot there, but you know, we talked it up with the park attendant and he agreed to let us shoot for a few minutes as long as we bought the entire park a round of cafesito [Cuban Espresso shots]. Well, $10-$20 bucks worth of cafesito later and we had ourselves a photoshoot. And this wasn’t the first time I was shooting Pitbull. I had shot him back in early 2003 before he had his first album out. If I’m not mistaken, I could have been one of his first official photoshoots. I found those the other day. Maybe I’ll put ‘em up. Stay tuned.

Ocho Placas Tattoo Shop in Miami
Written By YAHNI | Posted In 305 Magazine,Art,Interviews,Miami Businesses

Story By Yahnilet Colon and Photos By David Rosario

Spend an hour with the fellas at Ocho Placas and it becomes obvious why the tattoo shop radiates creative vibes. The four artists’ personalities are reflected on the Eighth Street shop’s walls, lined with encased hand paintings, masks and drawings. Religious symbols easily find their place alongside women’s figures, but there isn’t even a hint of the typical frames with tattoo designs found at other Miami spots. That’s exactly how owner Jose Carrera wants it – far from typical.

Chop Shop Barbershop – Some call it Miami’s Best Barbershop…
Written By DRO | Posted In 305 Magazine,Interviews,Miami Businesses

Story & Photos By David Rosario

Without even being in business for 5 months, you had the “The Best Barbershop In Miami” moniker attached to the newly-found Chop Shop Barbershop. It’s a tagline used by many of Chop Shop’s satisfied customers that have made sure to keep the barbershop’s name heavy in the streets. So what makes Chop Shop the unique phenomenon that many claim it is? It’s the result of a themed interior design that simply separates Chop Shop from every other barbershop in Miami, and probably the rest of the United States, even.

Invazion Boutique in Miami
Written By DRO | Posted In 305 Magazine,Interviews,Miami Businesses

Story & Photos By David Rosario with Contributions By Jorge Larrea

In the frontlines of Coconut Grove and Little Havana, you can find lifestyle boutique Invazion tightly knit into its corner store location off of US-1. To label the establishment as unique is simply an undeserved understatement. The floor-hugging red couch, the stacked inventory and the larger-than-life windows are just some of the elements that create the distinction between Invazion, and any other urban boutique.
