Last week it was announced that Nike may be planning a new Niketown location on Lincoln Road in what’s currently Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma at the corner of Lincoln and Lenox Avenue.
If you remember, a Miami Niketown used to exist in Sunset Place, down in the South Miami area of the city. The new store would be a 31,500 square foot multi-level building with two floors of retail and a rooftop basketball court and jogging track.
No word if Nike’s plans will get approved by the city as their proposed Niketown would require the demolishing of the currently standing building that was built in 1999, but was a close duplicate to the original building that stood there since 1938 up to that point.
