In 2009, when Chef Jeremiah Bullfrog converted a 1962 Airstream trailer into a mobile kitchen and launched gastroPod – the first gourmet street food truck in South Florida – Chef J brought a revolution to our town. A year later Miami New Times named it “Best Food Truck.”
Since then he’s been representing the 305 coast-to-coast – slinging burgers at Bonnaroo, competing on Food Network shows like Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay, making homemade pickles and keeping Rick Ross happier than a pimp in a fedora factory as his official chef.
And recently, after the 1962 Airstream unfortunately ran its course of life, gastroPod 2.0 was born in the form of an old shipping container customized to fit Chef Jeremiah’s vision. And Jeremih needed a little help from his adoring public to assist with the permits and such, so he started a Kickstarter campaign to reach about $5,659 and as of yesterday, he reached his goal and surpassed it. YOU CAN STILL DONATE HERE.
gastroPod 2.0 is now officially secured in Wynwood with an amazingly delicious menu that you HAVE to try out located at 160 NW 26 Street open 3pm-11pm on most days except Mondays. Below is the menu courtesy of Burger Beast and check their website at: gastropodmiami.com.
