If you want yourself a quality New York-style Delicatessen in Miami (and or specifically in the South Dade area), then the Original Lots Of Lox is the place for you. Centered in Palmetto Bay near SW 152nd Street and US1, Lots Of Lox is hidden in a faraway corner of the main shopping plaza of that intersection. You wouldn’t expect it, but soon as you walk in you get that New York type of feel in the comfort of the 305.
Catering to breakfast, lunch and dinner, L.O.L. (lol) has a great deli and grill at their disposal. It doesn’t matter the time of the day, Lots Of Lox will give you a quality home-cooked styled meal.
And of course, you can’t say NYC styled deli without mentioning that they have a Rueben on the menu. You’ll be a bit hesitant on what to expect (especially if you had the Rueben at Katz Deli in New York), but it was such a delicious surprise with nicely grilled rye bread, quality corned beef, snappy sauerkraut, cheese and Russian dressing. It didn’t disappoint…and why would it? Its their most popular menu item.
For a homely feel and quality food, head on to Lots of Lox for a true take on the New York Delicatessen experience. And again, don’t forget, they’re a full fledged deli with a great choice of take-home options, just ask the deli counter for some help and suggestions.
