This past Sunday was a great day courtesy of the great folks at Team EMAR and NASCAR. The305.com got invited to get an exclusive tour (and to attend) the season-ending Ford EcoBoost 400 race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Full disclosure, I personally have never attended, nor have I watched a NASCAR race. But after Sunday’s experience, I think I walked away a fan.
The day started with a behind the scenes walk through and up-close and personal view of all the cars as their crews prepared for the race on the track. And shortly after, we got a near front row view of the driver announcements with DJ Irie as the host and an extra special announcement from the four top contenders for the championship.
We enjoyed great food in the media center, as well as more food and drinks in our cabana suite that overlooked Pit Lane with a prime view of the race.
We even saw Michael Jordan cheering on his sponsored driver Denny Hamlin, who was one of the four in contention for the championship. However, Kevin Harvick ended up as the eventual victor of the Sprint Cup.
