Last night the Miami Heat finally snapped their 3 game losing streak with an impressive win against the Brooklyn Nets. The Heat were without Wade (Hamstring) and Deng (wrist). Last night’s win was impressive mostly because it was a classic team effort. Everyone that saw minutes scored and we saw flashes of the franchise’s future with the young guys taking over. The rookie Ennis, played 36 minutes, and added a much-needed spark to this Heat team that started in a funk. Ennis finished with 10 pts, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.
Brooklyn had control of the game in the first half, with Bogdanvich lighting it up. He finished with 22 points and Jarret Jack coming off the bench to cause some havoc and finished with 15 points.
But the Heat exploded for 32 points in the third quarter, behind the efforts of Cole, Chalmers, Ennins and Napier. That third quarter explosion was the biggest since game three of the playoffs last year.
Bosh struggled mildly but was able to hit a couple of clutch shots when the Nets where getting close in the fourth quarter. He finished with 15 points on 5-11 shooting. He has had a tough stretch against some subpar teams. Bosh started lighting it up in the pre-season but now has significantly cooled down as he is now 17-60 from the field.
The Heat now improved to 6-5 for the season and are getting geared for Thursday’s game against the tough LA CLIPPERS.
Sidenote: And if you didn’t see the play a lot of people were talking about, press play on the video above to see rookie Shabazz Napier put the crossover moves on both Kevin Garnett and Deron Williams.
