Although there’s a questionable resolve in terms of money they owed some former employees, David’s Cafe is returning to South Beach after shutting down both of their locations within the past few years. The Lincoln Road was shuttered due to high rent and the Collins location was shuttered due to a mixture of surrounding construction and the fact that they were selling the building they were located in for mega millions.
Well now, on the corner of 9th Street and Alton Road (also a super congested road under construction), in the former Avila-Tei space, David’s Cafe will return once more to fill you South Beachers with their trademark Cuban food.
The David’s Cafe sign popped up in recent sign and a photo was sent to the New Times that confirmed the news. Hell, pass by and you’ll see it too.
More information soon on the new location and eventual grand opening.
