If its one thing Miami is known for it is definitely our traffic. But maybe we would have a little less traffic if the 836 and 826 interchange project was finally completed. The project that began in 2009 will be done by the end of 2015. There are 430,000 vehicles that commute this route every day.
Though there isn’t a specific reason why this project has been taking long, the crews are doing their very best to have us driving soon on the 45 new bridges being built. And once they are, you will be driving 100 feet in the air so we hope no one taking this future route is scared of heights.
And when the estimated $560 million project is completed, lets hope this will be one of the last major expressway upgrades for the area for many years to come.
