Here’s a pretty awesome photo showing a former entrance gate to the City of Miami with the word “welcome” arched across and two very important sides on the left and right support columns. 1896, the year of the city’s founding, on the left and 1911, the year the photo was taken.
Unfortunately, there’s no exact “present day” location attached to this photo but we’d guess it’s near current day Miami Avenue somewhere. Let’s hope someone in the comments can give us some insight.
