News broke out yesterday that Miami’s Best Pizza in Coral Gables will be shutting its doors and closing down for good. Due to their landlord putting up the building for lease and accepting the highest offer, which unfortunately Miami’s Best Pizza was not.
After 44 years in business, Miami’s Best Pizza is closing its doors. The shop originally opened as a Little Caesars franchise and was converted into Miami’s Best Pizza by original owner “Big” Al Papich–a former University of Miami football player who then passed the business down to his son Ray.
The restaurant’s lease will be up in November and its unclear if they will reopen in a new location. So do what you can to enjoy the pizza at Miami’s Best in the coming weeks because it may be your last opportunity to do so.
