Frankie Ruiz, chief running officer for US Road Sport and Entertainment Group, is helping introduce a running fever that is taking Miami by storm. Not only did he play a huge part in the development of the Miami Marathon, but he also does so much more to encourage communities in South Florida to get up and get running.
One of the main ways Ruiz reaches out to communities is through the Run Club Network which he started. The Run Club Network is made up of five different running clubs that include over 9,000 runners. This club runs four days a week through Miami Beach, Brickell and Kendall.
Ruiz also is the coach of the cross country team for Belen Jesuit Preparatory. He has led the team to six state championship and has won Coach of the Year by Miami Herald six times.
Lastly, Frankie Ruiz is also owns Kendall based sneaker store Sole Runners, which focuses on mainly running shoes. Sole Runners is located at 11650 Kendall Drive.
