Uh oh. Bosh is spreading his wings and getting his businessman on. After becoming the NBA’s current highest paid player, things have been shaping up quite well in the offseason for Boshy.
Here’s a preview at his new Mr. Nice Tie collection. Designed by Creative Director Chris Bosh, in collaboration with accessory brand Armstrong & Wilson, Mr. Nice Tie is a collection of sophisticated neck wear. Here’s a little background courtesy of the New York Times:
Composed of five regular styles and five bow ties, some in what he called “very subtle” prints and some that are a little “louder,” the line is being produced in conjunction with the Philadelphia-based tie maker Armstrong & Wilson, and will retail for $105 to $130.
As to why he decided to expand his franchise into ties, Mr. Bosh mentioned childhood memories — watching his father getting dressed in the morning, complete with tie; his own taste (“men don’t have that many accessory options and I wanted something that was both cool and classic”); and the rise of the N.B.A. as a fashion force.
“The N.B.A. is really, really heavy with fashion right now, and guys really want to see what we are all wearing,” Mr. Bosh said.
