After the whole billboard stunt (which ended up being a few billboards instead of one), Dan Le Batard and crew were suspended for two days by ESPN for their “hemorrhage” publicity stunt.
In a statement, ESPN said that Le Batard’s “recent stunt does not reflect ESPN’s standards and brand. Additionally, we were not made aware of his plans in advance.”
Funny, because LeBatard was talking about the stunt 24-7 for a full week in advance to the billboards going up. The billboards will be up for another month.
The billboards were also part of a bigger plan to infiltrate Akron during today’s celebration party that LeBron was holding in his hometown. So it looks like Dan lost a lot of money in deposits and such in whatever stunts he had planned.
Dan Le Batard returns to radio and his TV show this Monday.
