Let’s just stick with the positive for now and remember the good times.

Alley-oop From Wade To James Against The Bucks

Date: December 6, 2010

This picture spread across the web like wildfire. It represented the sync and synergy that Wade and LeBron possesed and it was only a month after the first season of the “Big Three” era. It was nothing short of exhilarating.  If you could  describe a Heat game in one picture during LeBron’s peak in Miami, then this is it. Wade had accepted his role as a set up man in the alley-ooping business given Wade’s vertical jumping ability suffering from the various injuries. While James was still soaring through the air and finishing, relentlessly creating posters. – O. Acquino

The Opening Of Unknwn In Aventura Mall

Date: December 16, 2011

UNKNWN was and is a name and logo with this ominous illuminati feel that you got excited about when GQ broke the news that LeBron and his crew of friends were opening a menswear store in Aventura Mall. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was a good build up towards their grand opening in December of 2011. Led by Bron’s childhood friend (and pretty much his little brother), the store welcomed tons of private events, tons of exclusive releases and stamped itself as a premiere shopping destination in South Florida for sneakers and mid-range to high-end men’s fashion. We hope the store stays in Miami for years to come, but that will be up to the guys in charge if that’s still a possibility. – Dro

LeBron Wins His Second Straight NBA MVP Award In May 2013

Date: May 6, 2013

In the 2012-2013 campaign, LeBron won his second consecutive MVP and thanked his Miami Heat teammates and the organization for making it all possible. But one of the best moments was when the Heat put on a video montage congratulating him on this incredible feat. With that award he joined the likes Kareem, Jordan, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to have won the MVP four times and the talks about the greatest South Florida athlete took on new life. And this moment was extra special because we actually got to attend, as well as cover the event live from the American Airlines Arena and got to hang with LeBron and his family backstage before the entire process of the ceremony. One of the photos we took is above. – O. Acquino & Dro

61 Points Scored While Wearing The Carbon-Fiber Mask

Date: March 3, 2014

LeBron improved every season with the Heat, and in the 2013-2014 t season he made it all come together in one single game.  LeBron dropped 61 points on MJ’s Team.  YES, it was the Bobcats, but that Bobcats team went on to be a playoff  team and one of the best defensive teams in the league. So far, that game was LeBron’s highest scoring performance in a single game and again, it was done with the eerie carbon fiber mask on. – O. Acquino

LeBron Watching The Then-Perfect 2012-2013 UM Basketball Team Play

Date: February 09, 2013

The University Of Miami’s basketball program had a magical 2012-2013 season. Their near perfect performance was causing a frenzy in the media and in basketball circles. Even the Miami Heat and its players took notice with multiple guest appearances by LeBron and crew. And even more classic was Kobe Bryant showing up during one of the games to throw up “THE U” handsign when the Lakers were in town to play agains the Heat. – Dro

40 Points & 18 Rebounds Against The Indiana Pacers In The 2012 NBA Playoffs

Date: May 20, 2012

It was the 2012 playoffs and Miami looked like they were on the way to losing the series after Indiana took the lead. James responded with one of his best playoff performances of his career by scoring 40 points accompanied by a team high 18 rebounds. Wade added 30 points, but it was LeBron’s will and aggressiveness that took the game by storm and the Heat never looked back to take the series. They obviously went on to the NBA Finals and won it all. – O. Acquino

Indirectly Being Responsibly For The Bukake Bosh GIF

Date: June 21, 2012

Even though this one wasn’t a direct LeBron moment, if it wasn’t in part by LeBron, this moment would NOT exist. Bosh was and is probably the main target of getting mocked and made fun for doing foolish things on the Heat squad. And his facial experssions are always legendary. After the big three won their first champiosnhip together (the second for the Heat organization), this GIF appeared on the internet showing Bosh getting bukake’d from every which angle and making the most hilarious of faces. This gif has forever been immortalized as one of the first images that pop up in your head when you think of Chris Bosh. We love you Chris! – Dro

Showing Up To Critical Mass

Date: Throughout His Entire Time Here

One of the things that made us feel like LeBron was one of the locals was his appearances at the Miami Critical Mass event that takes place on the final Friday of every month. LeBron made multiple appearances with the event that kicked off not too far from his Coconut Grove mansion. D-Wade would join him at times and even go his own as well. LeBron was also known to take a short bike ride to the arena at times for practice. Again, one of the best off-court moments for LeBron. – Dro

Winning The Second Championship

Date: 2012-2013 Season

The Spurs were a formidable matchup for Miami and maybe TOO great. Poppovich, Duncan, Parker, Leonard, the three point shooting of Danny Green…UGH! They looked almost invisible. LeBron stumbled the first two games, but found a way to dominate the series. And after a miss from three point land, a huge rebound from Bosh and a game tying 3 pointer from Ray Allen – LeBron was crowned champion once again and delivered a back to back championship to us Heat fans. Plus, this one was extra special as it was dedicated to D-Wade as it was #3 for him, which is also his jersey number. – O. Acquino / Dro

The Post-Game Video Bombs During Jason Jackson’s Interviews On SunSports

Date: 2012-2013 Season

The third season of the Big Three era most definitely was the peak and prime of the gathering. It was the Miami Heat having fun and just enjoying themselves on and off the court. One of the best things ever was seeing all the video bombs that Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James would do on each other and other players during their post-game interviews. The most classic was the one above of LeBron making his now trademarked stiff face during Ray Allen’s interview with Jason Jackson of SunSports. The clip was instantly made into a gif and to tons of memes that went instantly viral, including our favorite Honest Lebron Lincoln. It was all just great times. And check out a screenshot of the one below showing LeBron creeping up on D-Wade. Good times! – Dro

The Final 60 Seconds & The Game Winning Clutch Shot Against Spurs During Game 7

ARVE Error: no id set

Date: December 16, 2011

After an exhausting Game 6 against the Spurs, the Heat were set to lose Game 7. The Spurs had amounted a furious comeback and were within 2 points. LeBron gets the ball by the free throw line as Kawhi Leonard defends and drills a dagger to put the Heat in front by 4 which ultimately would win the game. It was edge of your seat basketball and the payoff was most definitely worth it. – O. Acquino

The Streak…

Date: February 3, 2013 thru March 27, 2013

LeBron made sure the streak wouldn’t die. Without him, the streak would have never reached 27. One of the most memorable moments was the comeback against the Cavs. The Heat were down 26 and it looked like it was all over as Cleveland ironically enough were set to end the streak at 23. But LeBron happened and he started putting up three’s on the fast break to storm a comeback that had the Heat leading by three points when it was all over. The streak eventually ended at 27 games against the Chicago Bulls on March 27, 2013. – O. Acquino

The Miami Heat Welcome Party Pep Rally For The Big Three

Date: July 9, 2010

We as Heat fans were the laughing stock of the NBA once this came out. We held a pep rally party to rile up fans and gain some momentum before the season started. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A LOCAL EVENT.  It wasn’t the Heat announcing their greatness, it was supposed to be a local event only. But with slick editing and SportsCenter re-runs of it, it turned HEAT NATION to COCKY HEAT FANS and the HATE reached an all time high. – O. Acquino

LeBron’s South Beach Sneaker Release and Event at House Of Hoops In Dadeland Mall

ARVE Error: no id set

Date: October 16, 2010

LeBron made his decision in the Summer of 2010 to come to Miami and with that decision came the undoubted notion that there were going to be some AMAZING Miami-themed colorways of LeBron’s then upcoming Nike LeBron 8 sneaker release. But the sneaker world was not ready for what was going to be the release of the “South Beach” edition of the LeBron 8’s. These sneakers took over as one of the most in-demand LeBron sneakers then and even now. Prices have skyrocketed since their original release in late 2010.

Another sidenote of what was special about this release was LeBron making one of his first early appearances in Miami by helping launch this sneaker and the entire LeBron 8 line at the grand opening of the House Of Hoops store in Dadeland Mall. He was joined by longtime Nike designer Jason Petrie to discuss the sneaker and all things Miami. – Dro

The Jason Terry Posterization and All The Memes That Came Along Live During The Game

Date: March 18, 2013

The Heat were in the middle of their 27 game win streak and they were looking to capture number #23 at Boston. And in the middle of that feat we got the most perfect nugget of redemption and of total annihilation. LeBron posterized the f**k out of Jason Terry. You know, the same Jason Terry that took that 2010-2011 Larry O’Brien trophy from the Mavs’ win against Miami and took it to LIV to rub his crotch all up on the trophy in total disrespect. So ‘Bron posterizing him was the ultimate satisfaction for Terry’s disrespect two years earlier. And the stare down LeBron gave him after…that boy was cold! – Dro

LeBron’s First Championship Ever Against The Oklahoma City Thunder

Date: Jun 21, 2012

KD VS LBJ. It was the second time the HEAT had reached the finals. After losing in Dallas the year before, another loss could bring armageddon and the fear was that the “Big Three” experiment would be classified as failed.  The Heat loss Game One and the doubts started creeping in. But LeBron simply dominated. He facilitated for his teammates Mike Miller and Shane Battier and received the benefits as the three pointers started raining. LeBron also stopped Kevin Durant from doing anything amazing. The Result?  The Heat were crowned as champions for the first time since 2006 and LeBron captured that illustrious championship he had been waiting for.  – O. Acquino

LeBron Goes Beastmode In Boston During Game 6 Of The Eastern Conference Finals

Date: June 7, 2012

The Heat’s fire was about to be extinguished by their arch nemesis BOSTON CELTICS. Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Doc Rivers at the helm had a series lead and LeBron put on his big boy pants on and delivered one of the most clutch and impressive performances during the postseason and possibly his career. 45 points 16 rebounds. If you watched that game live, you knew that the Miami Heat and all of Miami was watching something special. Plus, that game spawned the above scary looking screen shot that let us know that Bron meant business. – O. Acquino / Dro

The Lebron Samsung Galaxy Commercial That Was Filmed In Miami

ARVE Error: no id set

Date: October 30, 2012

Another great moment in LeBron’s career in Miami was the epic Samsung Galaxy commercial that had Bron going all over Miami in a sort of dream like fashion. But we loved it so much because it showed bits of the real Miami to the entire nation….not just the whole “takin’ my talents to South Beach” element that stuck into the public’s heads.

All backed by the soulful sounds of “Keep On Pushing” by The Impressions. The commercial aired during the first game of the 2012-2013 season to congratulate LeBron on his first ring and showed Lebron hanging out at his Coconut Grove house, driving through Wynwood, chillin’ at Escobar’s Barbershop in The Roads area of Miami, and even a little shine for U.D. and Rio towards the end of the video.

It was a great commercial that gave us all goosebumps when it first came out. And then there was a second video that also showed Miami as well in various lights that you can see below. – Dro

The Gift & The Curse Of……The Decision On ESPN

Date: July 08, 2010

The most damaging yet rewarding moment of LeBron’s career came in the summer of 2010. As soon as “I’m taking my talents to South Beach” left LeBron’s lips, the whole sports world was turned upside down. The decision is one of the most infamously talked about events in sports history and it didn’t even take place on the court. LeBron was hammered for the “spectacle” and now, for the length of his stay in Miami. The part about The Decision that gets hugely downplayed is that the money raised during the program was raised for charity. All in all, four straight finals appearances and two rings later, that decision made LeBron a champion and lifted the Miami Heat among the best teams ever assembled.
