We’re not too thrilled on the design of the prospected SkyRise project. Its 1,000 feet of hugeness that will overtake the Miami skyline and cost $400 Million to build. But on a positive note, at least it takes some architectural risks and brings a little character to Downtown. Miami is so behind on the times in terms of allowing a little bit of design flare appear in its new constructions, so maybe this will change that a little.
But after weeks of stalled talks, a suitable lease agreement between SkyRise Miami, Bayside Marketplace, and the City of Miami. The deal would also include the expansion of Bayside.
The only thing in the way of finalizing the agreement is a vote. To move forward, voters will need to approve the measures this upcoming August. And if it does move forward, the tower would be completed by the end of 2017.
