Here’s a pretty cool local company called Bowtie Kids Clothing. Using simple cute designs along with bowties, they have a great message and purpose for their clothing that is aimed at young children.
Founded and designed by licensed therapist Kiwani Tapper, The BowtieKids was initially created to fullfil a lifelong dream of working in the fashion industry but what took place during the design process was much greater. As a therapist working in a facility that helps children with special needs, designer Kiwani wanted the kids line to not just be trendy but also purposeful.
With each bow that accompanies the simplistic yet irresistible design, Bowtie Kids seeks to draw awareness to various childhood diagnoses such as Autism and Down Syndrome. Bowtie Kids will also create limited edition bows to spotlight other diagnoses during it’s specific awareness month. A portion of the funds received from sales will be given to organizations to help create awareness. The simplicity in Bowtie Kids is what gives the design it’s charm. The friendly face followed by the handcrafted bows are the essence of adolescence and a wardrobe necessity for your child.
