This past Sunday we got a chance to attend the Heat vs. Knicks game courtesy of American Express’ “Off the Court” Food Challenge, Chris Bosh and Chris’ personal chef Terrance Williams. And we got to follow Chris and his chef around after the game to meet winner of the “Off the Court” Food Challenge Bobby Parrish and his wife Dessi Parrish.
A little backstory. Fans showed off their favorite game day snack for a chance to meet Bosh, who is also the subject of an in-depth video series exploring his passion for cooking as part of the American Express “Off the Court” program. So…American Express put a call for fans to put a twist on some of Chris Bosh’s favorite foods and Bobby’s entry one with his recipe for chicken wings stuffed with creamy mac n’ cheese, and then deep fried to golden brown perfection.
And there we were. A meeting between Bobby and Chris Bosh was set up, as well as Chris’ personal chef Terrence Williams who had prepared a sample of what Chris’ typical game day meals consists of for Bobby and everyone else that was a part of the event. The meal included fresh fruits from Whole Foods, Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches and servings of Terrence’s amazing Matcha Green Tea Shake (more on that later).
Bobby was also surprised with an autographed pair of Chris Bosh’s sneakers – 2010 Nike Hyperdunks.
