Guy Fieri brings it home to South Florida to feature Korean fusion inspired Sakaya Kitchen in the latest episode of his Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Sakaya Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants here at The305. Their tots (pictured above) and their Korean Fried Chicken Wings are both awesome.
The duo go through a couple dishes including Sakaya’s delicious Duck Sandwich, as well as the “Chunked Tots”, which is basically the tots photo I featured above except its slammed with tons of sauce, bulgogi beef , spicy cheese and other hearty ingredients. Guy melts upon tasting it. Guy labels Sakaya as “Asian food Plus PLUS”, which lends to the whole fusion factor that we think Sakaya has mastered.
Another cool factor of this episode shows director Billy Corden (Cocaine Cowboys and the recently released Tanning of America) as one of the testimonials for the restaurant in between clips.
