Whoa, City Of Miami Beach Shuts Down Club Madonna For Six Months After Allegations Of Underage Dancer

City Of Miami Beach just announced that they have pulled the business license of Club Madonna “strip club” after recent allegations have sprung up accusing them of having a 13 year old runaway girl as one of its dancers. The owner of Club Madonna admitted to having no actual knowledge or record of the alleged minor performing at his establishment, but reportedly admits that he heard “that she did.”

With that said, Miami Beach City Manager Jimmy L. Morales issued a six-month “Order Revoking Occupational License: Business Tax Receipt and Certificate of Use” to Leroy C. Griffith, the Registered Agent and President of Club Madonna, located at 1527 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

“Based on the gravity of recent allegations, the evidence collected and the owner’s admitted failure to have the required knowledge of what illegal activity occurs at Club Madonna, I have determined that this activity presents an actual threat to the public health, welfare and safety of the public,” said Miami Beach City Manager Jimmy L. Morales.

Pursuant to Miami Beach City Code (Sec 102-381), the city manager has the power and authority to revoke a business license when a business activity within the city is engaged in conduct that is an actual threat to the public health, welfare and safety.
