Look, this is the first time we’ve ever given out this recognition. And what better way to kick it off then by recognizing someone who is really ’bout that 305 life.
I mean put aside all the work that Freezy has done with Flo Rida, Poe Boy and all his other accomplishments in the rap and pop genres. Freezy really is about his 305 pride. Last year during Game Seven of the Heat’s playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, feeling frustration of the pending defeat, the Pacers’ Pendergraph pushed the sh*t out of Norris Cole, who was like half his size. Freezy wasn’t having that and started letting loose and poppin’ all kinds of bout-that-life language at Pendergraph and his teammates. As a result, Freezy was restrained and removed from the arena.
Not only that, but the Spurs’ head coach Gregg Popovich allegedly called the NBA and asked that Freezy be banned from entering the arena during the NBA Finals, which unfortunately he was. So homie took one for the team big time. All in all, it was the most the nationally televised display of three oh five pride that any of us saw in 2013. Standing up for the Miami Heat without fear of repurcussions.
Salutes to that boy Freezy. 305!
