Apt. 606 landed into Miami’s fashion scene in 2012 and have slowly taken a stab at the mindset that a lot of of local streetwear types have about fashion in Miami. While most have been used to Jordans, a cool t-shirt and jeans, Apt. 606 plays towards a higher way of thinking beyond the typical streetwear looks. Apt. 606 sprung up and put a lot of men’s retailers in Miami in check.
Holding inspirations from a minimalistic and an “all black everything” kind of motto, Apt. 606 introduced a new way of thinking to the Miami fashion scene. Or should we say a way of thinking about fashion that was and still is rarely seen in Miami. The monotone influence they brought forth from their then Wynwood and now Design District location has a very New York appeal and a very New York consciousness with a touch of high fashion from France and even Japan. Yet, the store seemingly boasts its own identity since every piece is handpicked by its owners to fit their taste and their standards of quality.
Some of their brands include Raf Simons, Rick Ownes, Surface To Air, Public School and more. And while their prices might be a little unreachable for the average consumer, their selection is unique and you won’t really see any other retailers in Miami carrying some of the inventory they have in stock. So if you have a taste for high-end fashion and have the bank account to support that taste, then Apt. 606 is your must-go-to spot in Miami.
