One of the most iconic Miami symbols took a modern day twist through the hands of Miami graffiti mainstay Atomik. If you’ve been anywhere near Wynwood or random corners of Miami, then you’ve most likely seen Atomik’s character flip of the infamous Orange Bowl mascot, Obie. Atomik’s version thought features a chipped tooth, gold tooth, Nike sneakers and a halo. I mean, the character was EVERYWHERE. He’s even gone worldwide with it. So he’s definitely the epitome of spreading that Miami name across the globe.
Atomik has been doing his thing since 1995 and reps TSC, 28, B5E, SH and MSG Cartel. And earlier in 2013, he celebrated his first solo show at The Terminal Gallery in Wynwood. The show featured 24 pieces ranging in various mediums. We even interviewed him earlier this year.
In short, Atomik is a 305 representer like no other and his skills are definitely something to look forward to for many Art Basels and many years to come.
