What started out as a sense of urgency to play good music and feature artists that were being overlooked in Miami, turned into a movement.
Slap & Tickle debuted at the Electric Pickle on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Pirate Stereo, Santiago Caballero and Troy Kurtz ignited the Tuesday night party, which begun with a small crowd, and quickly turned into a weekly ritual. This unpretentious party has never has cover or lines and always good music and vibes. Notable guests included Duke Dumont, Perseus, Moon Boots, and FUTRO – a monthly residency of Oscar G and Lazaro Casanova.
In April, Slap & Tickle switched locations to Bardot, and in November, the trio teamed up with Poplife to take over Saturdays at The Garrett with its new night: Slap & Tickle Bodega.
