After about three years, PAX Miami music venue is headed towards closing down. Last night, they held their farewell party.
In an eery blurb, the owners posted that they will have to unfortunately close down due to circumstances beyond their control, but also mention that this might be a “temporary” shut down as well.
It was a tiny little venue, but it supported local musicians of all genres. They were located on Eighth street under the I-95 overpass on the Brickell side, down the street from other Brickell mainstays Tobacco Road and Blackbird Ordinary. Their support of the live arts was noted by many and will be missed.
They have one more final event listed on their calendar for tonight…a show called Winter Music Box which will indeed be their last event.
Much luck to the owners and a big thank you for trying to do what a lot of people won’t dare to for Miami’s music scene.
