This past Friday, it was the anual Y100’s Jingle Ball 2013 concert at the BB&T Center. The stars were out in full force with performances by Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Austin Mahone, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Armin Van Buuren, Enrique Iglesias, Fall Out Boy, Flo Rida, Avril Lavigne, Jason Derulo and Fifth Harmony on the final stop of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2013 Tour. Special appearances included Elvis Duran of “Elvis Duran and the Y100 Morning Show,” and Mack and Nina of Y100.
The crowd went wild for the slew of talent that came to Miami for the star studded holiday concert. Flo Rida gave a shout out to Paul Walker and dedicated his performance to him, and later joined Austin Mahone on stage for a surprise collaboration of “Just A Friend”. Robin Thicke performed hits including “Blurred Lines”, and Enrique Iglesias went into the crowd to serenade his hometown fans with hits “Heart Attack” and “Baby I Like It”. Flo Rida also got into the holiday spirit by handing out gifts to kids in the crowd. Miley Cyrus closed out the show and performed hits including “Wrecking Ball” and a cover of Lana Del Ray’s “Summertime Sadness”. Miley even twerked on stage, to the delight of the crowd.
Earlier in the day, Y100’s Jingle Ball kicked off with the action-packed Y100 Jingle Ball Village, the official pre-event celebration. The event included performances by fan favorites Fifth Harmony, Travie McCoy, Austin Mahone, Tegan & Sara and Jake Miller, with special appearances by Y100’s J Rand, Logic MC and DJ David Solano.
Y100’s Jingle Ball 2013 was the final stop of the national iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2013 Tour, the season’s biggest annual music event that captures the holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app, in Dallas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Washington D.C. and Tampa. The concert also donated $1.00 of each ticket sold to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to inspiring today’s youth through entertainment and education focused initiatives.
