Problem Kids Release Laid-Back Miami Anthem Entitled “My Ami”

A really dope and jazzy track by local group Problem Kids. This one is an ode to Miami.

The Problem Kids are a six piece Miami band on a mission to spread their infectious music to the rest of the world. They have a undeniably fresh sound that is characterized by the group’s willingness to bounce effortlessly between vintage hip-hop, roots rock, and Caribbean salsa rhythms without missing a step.

The Problem Kids dropped their debut full-length album, Poetry in Motion, in 2010 which introduced the masses to their vibrant sound. The album was well-received in the local scene, and the propelled the band to a busy show schedule ever since, which has included high-profile opening slots for hip-hop legends Chuck D, Uncle Luke, Rakim, and De La Soul to name a few.

The band was recently named Ultimate Miami’s Top Band for 2013 beating out a large field of local bands to earn the $5,000 grand prize at the Magic City Casino.

“My Ami” was released two weeks ago on iTunes and Soundcloud. They’ll also be releasing the video for “My Ami”  next Tuesday, December 17th. Listen to the track below, but if you like and want to support, buy it on iTunes by clicking here.
