On Saturday, the Heat got a feel good bounce back road against the Wolves beating them 103-82.The Heat had started their week on the wrong foot as they accumulated two straight losses. The first to the Detroit Pistons, and then got out-hustled by a Rose-less Bulls team. The Heat played a Wolves team who were without Kevin Love who was out due to a death in the family, but still presented a threat as they are one of the best rebounding teams in the league while the Heat are 30th.
Dwyane Wade, was a factor from the get, he rejoined the team after missing back to back games. Wade played 32 minutes even after a first half scare where he bumped knees with Kevin Martin and was in some noticeable pain. He finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds 4 assist. Coach Spoelstra had emphasized the teams lack of rebounding before the game and LeBron’s 21 points and 14 rebound effort echoed that and the team followed as they totaled 44 rebounds to the Wolves 45.
Nikolai Pekovic dominated the glass and made it tough for the Heat on the block, he finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Kevin Martin attacked mostly from the outside and kept Minnesota in the game in the first half as before cooling down in the 3rd and 4th quarters. He totaled with 19 points 4 rebounds and 4 steals.
NEXT GAME: The Heat will now look to get revenge on the Pistons as they go to Auburn Hills on Sunday.
