So, this ugly thing might soon be the tallest structure in Miami – SkyRise Miami

Well, it looks like SkyRise Miami, a $300-$400 million project is bring proposed by developer Jeff Berkowitz (pending funding of course). The structure itself would be 1,000 feet tall and the height was already approved by the FAA. And the location, as you could see above, would be near the Bayside Marketplace where the Hard Rock Cafe is.

The idea itself is amazing and would be such a great element added to our city, but the oddly shaped slope of a structure designed by Arquitectonica would feature a nightclub, event space, amphitheater, restaurant(s), flight simulator, bungee jump, and a ride with a 50-story “high-speed” drop. All similar to Las Vegas’ Stratosphere – minus the casino and hotel facilities.

Below you could see a comparison of other observation towers of the world compared to the prospected SkyRise Miami.
