The Heat have now won six in a row after beating the Magic for the second time this week. The blowout Wednesday win and the thriller last night that ended at 101-99. The Heat had a much harder time playing the Magic on Saturday night as the Magic lead most of the game by as many as 16 points. As always, the defense dictates the flow and outcome for the Heat and to say the defense was fluky to start the game would be an understatement. The Heat allowed a 35 point second quarter in which Etwan Moore kept draining shots from the perimeter.
This game saw Dwyane Wade come back after missing his last two games and he was stellar. Wade had a rough start to the game as he dealt with the rust and timing to get back into the swing of things. But like the Heat, he figured out how to get going in the second half and ended last night’s game with 27 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Plus, a monster dunk that reminded everyone of what vintage Wade looks like.
However, even with the strong performance from Wade, the Heat struggled to fight back to surpass the Magic and found themselves in a tight game all of the way down to the last few seconds. LeBron, hit a final mid-range jumper to give the Heat the lead for the win. He finished with 22 points 9 rebounds and 7 assists.
