Don’t say we didn’t warn you. The Heat have now won five straight after dismantling the Orlando Magic last night 120 to 92. Again it was the Heat’s defense setting the tone for the whole game. The defense forced 24 turnovers and held their opponent under 100 points for the second consecutive game.
Dwyane Wade was out for the second straight game (knee) so the the Heat brought in James Jones into the starting lineup. Jones made 5 three-pointers (5-7) finishing with 17 points in just 20 minutes. LeBron netted 21 points 6 rebounds and 7 assists while Bosh added 18 points with 5 rebound. Both LeBron and Chris played limited minutes due to the lead against the opponent – which then meant that the bench played most of the second half.
The Magic had a pretty dull performance overall as the Heat suffocated them with their defense. However, they had Arron Afflalo go off with 7 three-pointers totaling in 30 points for the game. And their exciting rookie Oladipo went for 20.
The Heat SHOULD keep this streak going as their next 6 opponents are all teams under 500%.
MIA: Michael Beasley keeps taking advantage of the blowouts and keeps showcasing his talents he had 14 Pts and 7 Rebs.
ORL: Jameer Nelson had himself a nice well round game with 17 pts, 5 rebs and 5 assists.
