PHOTOS: Basslights Lit Up Miami For Two Nights

Basslights might have happened a month ago, but we just got photos of the mayhem that took place at Bayfront Park’s Klipsch Amphitheater and sold out of general admission tickets. The collaborative concert between homeboys Derek Vincent and Lorin Ashton, better known as Pretty Lights and Bassnectar attracted peeps of all kind, but the commonality seemed to be legit as fuck fans. Bassnectar has “bass heads” and Pretty Lights had funk philosophers that wouldn’t dare miss a show. Switching off the decks Friday and Saturday, giving each other a chance to open and close, the two brought their game hard both nights. Pretty Lights performed live with his band and of course, all the pretty lights he brings to the world. He even showed up to hotter than usual Miami wearing a beanie, sticking to his Colorado roots. Bassnectar ended his set Saturday with a goodbye to Miami, a thank you to his fans and a demand for them to scream for the cameras. Then, he continued “so what are we all going to do now? Go home and watch some Netflix?” Not if he had anything to do with it. He proceeded to drop another 15 minutes of beats, including his infamous “pink elephants.” The one time, once a year performance happened here, and it was nasty. Here are photos from Pretty Lights performance.
