The Celtics and the Heat have tons of bad blood amongst them, but with most of the usual Celtic faces now playing elsewhere that rivalry seems to have cooled down a little bit. However, old emotions were stirred up with an almost impossible buzzer beater that the Celtics’ Jeff Greene made over Lebron with 0.6 seconds left on the game clock. A visual that you can see above and can relive over and over by clicking here.
It was an unnecessary loss on Saturday night that was fueled by tons of mistakes including the costly intentional free throw “miss” by Dwyane Wade that pretty much set Green up for the miracle three. All Dwyane needed to do was either have the ball touch the rim or just make the free throw and the would’ve put the Heat in the green (no pun intended) with Overtime play as their worse case scenario.
Point blank, they should not have lost this game. It was their “W” to hold on to. The Heat were shooting 57.7 percent overall and 66.7 percent in the fourth quarter – those are numbers that hint at an easy win. Too little, too late though. The Heat are now 4-3 for the season.
MIA Notable: LeBron on a sore back with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists.
