Are you a friend of nature? You should be. Get acquainted this weekend with the inaugural Friends of Nature Festival, or FONFEST (that sounds way cooler) in the history Virginia Key Beach Park. This is a one of a kind event happening for the first time ever in the Magic City. We know what you’re thinking? Another festival. Hell yeah!
This isn’t just unzt unz though. It’s more than that. Going on Saturday and Sunday, the festivities reap of organic happenings not just limited to sounds. There’s live music, art installations, film, comedy, and sustainability. Are you a yogi-bear? Get there at 9 a.m. and start your day off early with yoga, meditating, even some kayaking and other workshops. There’s all kinds of weird good shit going on. Not into working out? Go later to munch and laugh along to the comedian acts. Stay for the music. King without a crown – Matisyahu – is headlining Saturday. Shenanigans end at 1 a.m. but don’t worry, the chill fest continues through Sunday with more grooving out in one of Miami’s most iconic parks.
