While Toronto native Drake, made his tour stop in Miami for his “Would You Like a Tour” concert, your Miami Heat were in Toronto for their 5th regular season game. After stringing back to back losses, the Heat are on back track with back to back wins before they come back home for Thursday’s game against the Clippers.
As far as last night, the Raptors bothered the Heat early as their young center Jonas Valanciunas took full advantage of Chris Bosh’s absence and dominated the boards by being the only guy over 6’10 on the floor most of the time. The Raptors kept it close throughout the game, but the Heat pulled a gritty road win out behind solid bench play from Beasley (6pts) and Allen (14pts) during crucial scoring droughts.
Also, in the first quarter Lebron became the fifth player in NBA history to score in double digits in 500 consecutive games, joining the likes of Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone and Moses Malone as the only players to complete this feat. He finished with 35 pts, 8 Rebs and 8 Assists – helping the Heat take the win at 104 to 95.
MIA Notables: Dwyane Wade 20 points, 6 rebs, 5 assist and 2 steals.
TOR Notables: J. Valanciunas 18pts, 9 rebs and 1 block.
Next Game: Thursday night against the Clippers at home. Tip-off at 7:00pm.
