PHOTOS: Heat Get Their Rings, Beat The Bulls in Season Opener 107 to 95

Last night, the Miami Heat franchise officially raised their third championship banner. The Bulls were not on the floor for the ceremony, as they decided not to witness it and keep full focus on the game ahead. And with that, the players also received their rings. Above you can see all the angles of the Jostens designed ring  which includes odes to the two-titles-in-a-row, the “Back to Black” campaign, the 27 game winning streak and more.

Now on to the game. The champs wasted no time in transitioning from the celebration to handling business. They quickly suffocated a Bulls team that had a lot of momentum coming into the game since, this was the return of their superstar point guard Derrick Rose. But the heat held Rose to 4-15 shooting and only 12 points. The former MVP was outplayed by both of the Heat’s point guards as they forced turnovers and made Rose look silly at times.

The Heat lead by as many as 25 points in the first half and although they let the Bulls back into the fourth quarter, they were able to seal the win with a full team effort.

The Heat had 7 players in double digits, including 17 from James and 13 from Wade.
