Last night, the Twitter world exploded as your Miami Heat unexpectedly unveiled free agent acquisition Greg Oden. It marked Oden’s first appearance in an NBA game since December 2009. With around 5:15 left in the 2nd quarter, Oden checked into the game and caught a pass by Chris Bosh and immediately showed what his presence could do as he slammed an emphatic dunk over a New Orleans forward. Oden had been battling back after two knee injuries that were supposed to mark the end of his NBA career.
Game Notes: The Heat fell behind by as much as 15 early in the game but stormed back quickly as Lebron and Wade combined for 52 points. The Heat bested the Pelicans 108 to 95 improving their preseason record to 5-2.
