While DJ Khaled is known for countless accolades within the music industry, the We The Best label head has decided to add educational philanthropy to his resume. Khaled shared his success with the students of Miami Norland Senior High School this past week with a $10,000 donation to the band and music program.
“They could be young executives, young musicians, big artists,” said the 99 Jamz radio personality. The overjoyed students went on a frenzy as the school band played some of Khaled’s hit records such as “All I do is Win” and “No New Friends”. Norland principal Reginald Lee explained how vital Khaled’s donation and appearance was by saying “they need something to feel good about, and this will definitely do it. That’s a great donation they gave to the band program and we definitely need those funds”
DJ Khaled’s visit and donation was an impactful experience on the students of Norland Senior High. When a figure of Khaled’s stature pays homage to the local youth, it’s easy to see why Miami is truly the “Magic City”.
