Who doesn’t love meat and potatoes? Now imagine that meat the most tender of cuts finely slice and drenched in a special sauce that has 21 ingredients, requires four separate cooking processes and takes 36 hours to prepare. Gives meat and potatoes a whole new meaning, doesn’t it? Parisians boast of their ways, and we don’t blame them, they include steak frites.
L’Entrecote de Paris opened a few weeks ago in Brickell, which means you don’t have to get on a nine hour flights to experience some French magic. The place looks like a bistro, and waitresses dressed like Parisian dolls ask you how you want your meat cooked as soon as you sit. You’re thinking you haven’t even looked at the menu. You don’t need to. Entrecote is the only dish they’ve got, hence the name. So you answer politely, preferably with a medium rare if you know anything about meat, and wait patiently. There’s a salad in the meantime. And profiteroles or an assortment of macaroons when you’re done. Oh, and a cheese platter if you’re cheesy. Us, we’re just meaty.
L’Entrecote is now open for lunch and dinner and located at:
