The 5’9” giant T.Y. Hilton led The Colts receiving corps with 124 yards on 6 receptions in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. Hilton was Indy’s only premiere playmaker, although Heyward-Bey’s shoulder injury did help contribute to the increased snaps. Coach Chuck Pagano was focused on getting Hilton more involved in the offense, so you can bet that he’ll be a safe WR3 for Week 3 at San Francisco (for all you fantasy folks). During his time at Florida International University, T.Y. Hilton earned himself the recognition of the 2008 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and the 2010 Sun Belt Player of the Year.
Around The League (Florida Talent):
Buffalo Bills QB E.J. Manuel (College: FSU)
E.J. Manuel pulled off a remarkable 24-23-comeback win over the Panthers through a game-winning TD to Steve Johnson (executed in six seconds or less). Manuel went 27/39 for 296 yards, one touchdown and an interception in Week 2’s thriller.
Minessota Vikings QB Christian Ponder (College: FSU)
There were already previous reports that Ponder’s job was on thin-ice, so his inconsistent efforts in Week 2’s loss to the Bears definitely didn’t help to ease the tension. Ponder threw one terrible interception, but he did accumulate 227 yards (53% on completions) and a touchdown. The QB situation in Minnesota is going to be something you will want to monitor closely.
Washington Redskins RB Alfred Morris (College: FAU)
Although the scoreboard may be a tad misleading, the Redskins simply got smoked in Week 2’s 38-20 loss to the Packers. Alfred Morris was one positive thing to come out of the Redskins offense, as he rushed for 107 yards on 13 attempts. It’s an odd situation boiling in Washington (sad news for RG3 fans), which is limiting the playmaking ability of Morris altogether.
