Touted as the “world’s first mini urban Drive-in movie theater”, the Blue Starlite Miami Urban Drive-In is set to open in Wynwood to serve the public as another great attraction to the area. The parent company was based in Austin, but plans were announced to bring the concept to Miami a few months ago. More specifically to be located in Wynwood at 70 NW 29th Street.
And now, October 9th is set as the grand opening date for the establishment and the film “Moon Over Miami” will kick things off in an appropriate fashion. But for a select few, Blue Starlite will also be offering a few special previews between September 18th and 23rd.
The word “mini” plays a part in the business because the drive-in can only allow space for about 20 cars, and ten tables for walk-up guests. Sounds will be blasted via vintage speakers.
The movie schedule for the soft and grand openings are currently listed as:
Pre Grand Opening Preview Schedule:
September 18: 8:30pm Pretty In Pink
September 19: 8:30pm Fast Times at Ridgemont High and The Wild Life (double feature)
September 20: 8:30pm The Princess Bride
