At a quick meeting with the homie Tones this weekend, we headed over to Casavana Cuban Cuisine. There’s a total of four locations in Miami: one by Zoo Miami, one in Town & Country (Kendall), another in Homestead and a final one in Miami Lakes.
Well, aside from their traditional line-up of Cuban cuisine which ranges from soups, the sides, and entrees within the beef, pork, chicken and seafood spectrum. But what you HAVE to try is one of their four slider dishes. They have the mini Frita sliders that a few local restaurants serve (ie. Sergio’s), but they also have three other very special versions: Chicken sliders, Roasted Pork sliders and the almighty Vaca Frita sliders. What separates these sliders is that they’re topped off with a black bean spread and diced maduros (sweet plantains). Don’t walk, run over to Casavana and try their sliders now.
