Tim Hardaway: First Person To Sign “Pro” Gay Marriage Petition

Tim Hardaway who once went on the Dan LeBatard Show in 2007 to proclaim that he hates gay people with the words: “You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don’t like gay people, and I don’t like to be around gay people. I am homophobic. I don’t like it. It shouldn’t be in the world or in the United States.”

Well, he has now become the first person in Florida to sign the petition that demands that the gay marriage issue be put back on the ballot in 2014.  The momentous signing took place last week at Sullivan’s Tavern in Miami.

The group behind the petition is hoping that they get 1 Million signatures, but at the very minimum they need 680,000.

Kudos to Tim for righting his wrongs and moving forward in a positive way.
