Some call it noise, and most call it music. This is a map that WLRN posted that shows the reach of the sound from the Ultra Music Festival, which begins its second and final weekend today. This isn’t scientifically accurate, but its a decent estimation of the “sound pollution” that takes over Downtown during the yearly festival.
‘Shaded area indicates the reach of Ultra’s sounds. This is not a scientific map, but rather one based on observations. We drew the lines from the point where ambient sounds from the urban environment become louder than the music itself. – WLRN
