Part hotel and part condo. The Residences at The Miami Beach Edition at 2901 Collins Ave has just received the final bill of sale for the most expensive condo in Miami Beach, and Dade County for that matter. Its still being built, but the building just sold its finest unit or better said “units”, as both penthouses were combined and sold at $34 Million Dollars, $3800 per square foot, which is almost 200% of the going market value.
The property, at the site of the old Seville Beach hotel at 2901 Collins Avenue, will include 26 high-end residences designed by architect John Pawson, restaurants, a nightclub, bowling alley and ice skating rink, Schrager said. The residential units will be on the top two floors of the hotel, which will have about 250 rooms, and in a new 11-story building. – Miami Herald
