[PRESS RELEASE] – Stance, the leaders in the sock market and innovators in the category, continue to redefine the way we think of socks by announcing their partnership with NBA Miami HEAT Champion and style icon, Dwyane Wade. The Wade Collection, launching later this year, will showcase casual and gentlemen socks designed and developed by Wade.
Dwyane Wade is the first NBA basketball player to launch his own sock collection. Wade’s first venture into the sock industry is certainly not his first in the world of fashion. As one of the NBA’s leading men, Wade is consistently recognized as one of the best-dressed players off the court and often documented for his style. Stance was thrilled to incorporate Wade’s love for fashion and passion for design into this collection—harnessing his personal style into all aspects of the collaboration process.
The Wade Collection will show the duality of fashion by featuring both casual and gentlemen socks to reflect Dwyane’s style on and off the court. Wade has collaborated with Calyann Barnett, Creative Consultant of Brand Wade, on various designs for the collection; which are inspired and influenced by Wade’s personal life and experiences. The collection is designed with the intention to satisfy the needs of the consumer by using socks as another way to express yourself in the world of fashion.
“We are very excited to team up with Dwyane Wade to launch the Wade Collection,” said Jeff Kearl, CEO of Stance. “Wade has had an undeniable influence on the NBA and on fashion, and we are thrilled to collaborate with someone that is so passionate about everything that he is involved in. This collection really speaks for itself.”
“I’m thrilled to partner with Stance on this new endeavor since fashion and personal expression is something I take pride in,” said Dwyane Wade. “Socks are often overlooked in fashion, but I’ve always believed that style is about taking risks. Socks have the amazing ability to transform any ensemble into a bold fashion statement that reflects your personality and mood.”
