This four-part documentary series focuses on Miami’s most notorious ghetto ‘Liberty City,’ documenting the struggles, the failures and the successes of Liberty City locals. When people think of Miami, they instantly think of the beaches, palm tress, and scantily clad women prancing around with Wet Willies drinks in their hands. But ask anybody who isn’t from Miami and even people who live in Miami about Liberty City and they will most probably answer with, “Where is that?” For those who don’t know, Liberty City is the city you want to avoid if you aren’t from the area.
Through this documentary, called “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly”, you can have an inside look of how things go down in what they local residents call “The City”. In the videos, it is mentioned often that this is the prime location for the show “The First 48″, where homicide and murder investigations are taken place in Miami.
The director/creator of the project, Shanks Rajendran, told us, “My aim in producing [The Good, The Bad and The Ugly] series is to give the people of Liberty City a voice. Though currently known for its Bad and Ugly aspects, there is also much Good in Liberty City; and the words “Hope” and “Never Give Up” remain strong in each individual in the City.
