The growing international reputation of Richard Mosse has reached new heights, as Rick Ross purchased his first piece from this year’s Art Basel Miami of the 2010 photograph, Love is the Drug. Over the past decade, Richard Mosse has worked in Iran, Pakistan, Haiti and the former Yugoslavia. Richard Mosse is best known for his utilization of coloring, to visualize a Congo landscape of deep, dreamlike pink/red hues, as well as shades of purple that serve as a representation for the conflict in the Congo. Rick Ross shares this moment with Lyor Cohen, whom is the North American Chairman and CEO of Recorded Music for Warner Music Group (WMG).
